"I have not only dropped nearly 65 pounds, but I have done it in a way that I can sustain over my lifetime."
"It’s not just about numbers on a scale with Belinda. She truly believes in educating her clients and helping them to meet their personal goals in a supportive and realistic manner."
Growing up I knew what dieting was, and why people did it, but I had no real education other than if you “feel fat” then you should eat less for a while until you don’t, or until you can't take depriving yourself anymore. That’s a cycle I’m sure anybody overweight can relate to. Personally, I didn’t dabble in that cycle until after I had my first child. I gained 50 pounds during the pregnancy, and then just to make things harder for myself another 20 after the fact. I attempted to lose the weight myself, the only way I knew how. It worked, for a little while, but it just wasn’t sustainable. I would learn later that it’s not just about counting calories, but making your calories count. Spoiler: Not all calories are created equal.
After my second pregnancy, I had gained the weight back and then some. On top of that, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, which affects my metabolism among other things. I started the cycle again, but it just was not working. I got up to nearly 300 pounds when my doctor suggested I meet with Belinda.
With a typically shy and avoiding-type personality, I had to convince myself to call and make an appointment with her, but I’m so glad that I did. Belinda has not only helped me drop nearly 65 pounds, but she’s taught me to do it in a way I feel comfortable that I can sustain over my lifetime. It’s not just about numbers on a scale with her, it’s about being accountable and knowledgeable in the healthy and unhealthy choices we make. She truly believes in the education she provides to her clients and helping them meet their personal goals in a supportive and realistic manner. Belinda’s program isn’t a quick fix, or a vicious cycle, it’s a permanent solution. Thank you, Belinda, for helping change my life physically, emotionally, and mentally for the better.
